Mid-Session Tracking
Tracking Handpays
Hit a jackpot? Record it before you forget the amount. Handpays are added directly to your session net and tracked separately from your machine cashout so the math is always right.
What is a handpay?
A handpay is a jackpot that a slot machine can't pay out on its own — typically because the win exceeds a threshold (often $1,200 in the US, which triggers a W-2G tax form). The machine locks up, an attendant arrives, verifies the win, and pays you in cash or a check. The machine is then reset and your session continues.
Open your in-progress session
While waiting for the attendant — or right after you're paid out — pull up your session in Innage. You don't need to do anything to the machine; just make sure your session is still open.
Tap the Handpay pill
In the Add Innage card, tap the Handpay pill. The form updates: the label changes to "Handpay amount," the submit button reads "Record Handpay," and a note appears reminding you that the amount will be added to your net automatically.
Enter the handpay amount
Enter the exact amount the attendant paid you. This is the gross jackpot amount — enter it before any taxes are withheld, or after, depending on how you want to track your results. Just be consistent.
You can record multiple handpays in a single session. Each one increments the session's handpay total.
Tap Record Handpay
The amount is added to your session's handpay total. You'll see a confirmation showing the amount recorded and your running handpay total for this session. Switch back to Cash mode and keep playing.
Cash out as normal when you're done
When you're finished, tap Cash Out and enter the machine ticket amount only — not your handpay. The cashout form will remind you that handpays are already recorded and will show the handpay total that's been accounted for. Your net is calculated as: cashout + handpay total − innage − tips.
How handpays affect your numbers
Net result — handpay total is added to cashout before subtracting your innage, so your true result is always correct
Gave Back from Peak — peak balance minus (cashout + handpay total), so this also accounts for money you already received
Session financials — handpay total appears as its own line on the session detail page, clearly labeled and separate from your machine cashout
